Rykodisc CD reissues from 1990 employed Bob Stone, formerly Chief Engineer for Larrabee Sound, to remaster all of Frank's catalog. The Ryko CD reissues of Weasels Ripped My Flesh credit Stone with the phrase "Digital Art" instead of Digital Mastering or Remastering, but this phrase actually refers to the remastering for CD of the release.

Weasels Ripped My Flesh is the seventh studio album by the American rock group the Mothers of Invention, and the tenth overall by Frank Zappa, released in 1970. It is the second album released after the Mothers disbanded in 1969, preceded by Burnt Weeny Sandwich. In contrast to its predecessor, which almost entirely focused on studio recordings of arranged compositions, Weasels Ripped My Flesh consists of a combination of live and studio recordings and features more improvisation. A fascinating collection of mostly instrumental live and studio material recorded by the original Mothers of Invention, complete with horn section, from 1967-1969, Weasels Ripped My Flesh segues unpredictably between arty experimentation and traditional song structures. This album encompasses The Mothers of Invention at their best time in my opinion and this album showcases what a lot of their concerts were like and the amazing guitar playing of Frank Zappa. Didja Get Any Onya - The song starts out with a tribal beat with a horn playing that almost sounds like an elephant. Weasels Ripped My Flesh - 2 minutes of feedback that ends with some strange noises and eventually a farewell bid from Frank Zappa himself. Pure Genius. Rating: 55. I can say without any hesitation that this album is not for everyone because it is highly experimental and really different from the modern and classical conventions of Jazz and Rock Music. Weasels Ripped My Flesh is the perfect example of a song that I deeply hate: what is that monotonous guitar that sounds like a weasel that rips your flesh ZAPPA has the right to be stupid once in his lifetime. Apart from the wonderful double-set, Uncle Meat, this was the most difficult listening album ever released by the Mothers of Invention. This is basically an compilation, with the majority being recorded live, of various Mothers performances from 67 to 69 which ended up being titled Weasels Ripped My Flesh and was actually the last release before the first era of the group disbanded.
